Our commitment to high standards commences before the first ride and continues throughout the experience. We implement proactive safety measures that are consistently in effect. How rides are shared
We treat each other with respect and do not tolerate discrimination. Anyone who violates our policies may be permanently banned from the platform. You have the right to cancel any ride that makes you feel unsafe.

Regular Driver Background Checks
All drivers must pass a background check before driving with DogeRide. After that, they are required to pass an annual background check. We also continuously monitor for criminal convictions, and when necessary, we deactivate drivers.

Driver Safety Education
All drivers are required to complete a safety program designed in collaboration with RAINN, the largest anti-sexual violence organization in North America.

Riding with kids
Minors must be accompanied by an adult aged 18 or older to ride. Additionally, riders must provide a car seat for children who require one.

Assistance in case of an emergency while on a ride.
If you need emergency assistance during a ride, you can request help directly from the app.
Riders can discreetly request help by tapping “Alert 911 Silently” in the app. A support representative will then contact law enforcement to share your location details. You will not receive a phone call unless you request one or call 911.
Drivers who activate their SOS alert will always receive a phone call. If the call is not answered, support will contact 911 to provide your location information.
You will receive real-time updates in the DogeRide app regarding the status of your emergency request.

Safety is our top priority and a key component to the DogeRide experience. As a driver with your companion, it's important to ensure that all parties you, your dog, and your passenger(s) feel comfortable during a ride. Contact customer support or call 911.
Ways to keep yourself safe
Prioritize your safety above all else. It's crucial to trust your instincts. If you find yourself in an uncomfortable or unsafe situation, don't hesitate to leave the area.
Stay vigilant and attentive. Protect yourself, your passengers, and others by being aware of your surroundings. Always check your environment before getting in or out of your vehicle. If you observe suspicious behavior or feel uncomfortable in any situation, leave the area and contact 911 immediately.
Always confirm your rider's name before unlocking the vehicle and use the OTP code.
Utilize de-escalation techniques to assist you. Staying calm is the most effective way to de-escalate a tense situation. Strive to remain composed, keep your voice low, avoid both verbal and physical confrontations, and be conscious of your body language.
Tips for Vehicle Safety
Lock your vehicle and take your keys and phone to prevent theft.
Don't leave valuables visible after you exit.
Keep driving instead of staying parked for too long.
When parking, especially at night, choose well-lit and busy areas.
Always lock your doors and roll up your windows.
Mutual rating system
Our rating system keeps the DogeRide community safe and comfortable. After a ride, drivers and passengers rate each other from 1 to 5 stars, with 5 being the best. If you rate a passenger 3 stars or below, you won't be matched with them again. Rate based on your experience, and you can give specific feedback to help us improve.
